ICT Trainings

Beating the odds with ICT globalization.

Sinfa Uganda is fighting at creating equal opportunities for every one as regards to use of ICT regardless of your location. Koro-Tetugu a former IDP camp found in the northern part of Uganda has privileged to connect globally through internet.
The center at Koro-Tetugu is fully furnished with computers and other technologies with the fastest internet connectivity which is wireless and can be received within the parameters of 50meters of radius.
The initiative was started by ALIN as a way of enabling access, creating knowledge and empowering the local communities of Koro. Currently we are conducting a three month training ICT covering the basic packages of computer to give them a hand on computer usage. These include, introduction, word, excel, PowerPoint and internet which they will be awarded certificates at the end of the training.

The training embraces all the community members of Koro at a zero cost. As much as we also train and give knowledge on computer use to  the primary level pupils which is one of our greatest pillar at the end of it we do not provide them with certificates since we believe it might not be of immediate effect as it would to form 6-leaver, college student.

At SINFA we believe when we enable access to the people, we empower them with information, No matter where we are doing it from, we shall transform the community.

As the rest of the world emphasis on technology transformation and internet use, we want to make it possible for the disadvantaged areas with no power and no or limited network connectivity to provide internet connection like it is the case with koro-Tetugu.

It has become a right for everybody to have access to internet and information; we are working at creating the equal opportunity for the disadvantaged and rural people by enabling access for them at affordable price through setting up knowledge centers widely.
